Learn about our Service Wing

In Sai Centers, selfless service is just as important a spiritual activity as devotional singing. The members of this organization are always ready and eager to help the needy, the sick and the poor. Baba makes it clear that the service we do is for our own sake. Naturally, we want to help others, but the real value of the service lies in what it does for us  - provided we do it with the right attitude: as a spiritual discipline.

Selfless service helps us to:

• Control and purify the mind
• Put a ceiling on our desires
• Erase our karmic burden
• Remove the ego
• Bring love into our lives
• Experience the Unity of all
• Become aware of the God within all
• Win the Grace of God

Mid Atlantic Retreat May 24-27

SaiRam Embodiments of Divine Love,

"You are the instruments ... you are the chosen ones! You have to show by precept and by example that the path of self-realization is the path to perfect joy. Hence on you lies a great responsibility; the responsibility of demonstrating by your calmness, composure, humility, purity, virtue, courage and conviction under all circumstances, that the spiritual discipline you practice has made you a better, happier and more useful person." - Sathya Sai Baba (Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol 7, 1967)

With prayers and humility, the announcement of the 44th Mid-Atlantic Regional Retreat of the SSIO is offered at the lotus feet of our beloved Bhagwan.

This year's retreat will be held from Friday, May 24th to Monday, May 27th (Memorial Day Weekend) at Camp Westmont in the beautiful Pocono Mountains.

This year's retreat theme is "If not now, when? If not you, who?."

With Swami's immense grace and blessings, planning for the retreat is well underway. This year's retreat will feature two wonderful speakers, Mr. Fize Mohammed, Deputy Central Coordinator of the West Indies, and Ted Henry, retired Television journalist and creator of the video interviews with "Holy" people we know as "Souljourns." Details about speakers and other highlights are included under the program tab at the link below.
