Next Samarpan Program: 'SAMARPAN' talk by Dr. Narasimhan on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 9:00 PM EST, organized by Sathya Sai Center of South Bethesda.

 

Dr. K. Narasimhan is the Director of the Sri Sathya Sai Mobile Hospital, Prashanti Gram, Puttaparthi. He is also currently the Medical Superintendent of the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital in Puttaparthi. He completed his medical education and training with a gold medal from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, MNAMS from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, and was also a recipient of the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Award for academic excellence. He then joined the Central Government Health Services, Government of India, in Hyderabad, where he served as its Chief Medical Officer until January 2005.

Dr. Narasimhan came to Swami in 1988, and was blessed by Bhagawan in 1997 to begin Grama Seva in the villages surrounding Hyderabad. In January 2006, Swami invited him to resign his post as Chief Medical Officer in Hyderabad to join His hospitals in Puttaparthi. Swami appointed him as the founding director of the Sri Sathya Sai Mobile Hospital, launched by Bhagawan on the 30th of
March 2006, to carry high quality, holistic, primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare to the doorstep of Rural Andhra Pradesh. Under his dynamic leadership, the Sri Sathya Sai Mobile Hospital received the prestigious CNBC-TV18 Healthcare Award on 23rd December 2013 in New Delhi for Innovation in Transforming Human Lives through Healthcare. The hospital also received immense appreciation and recognition from the Clinical Director of Studies for Medicine at the Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine, for excellence in training their visiting medical students. The Sri Sathya Sai Dhanvantri Seva Award was bestowed upon Dr. Narasimhan in the year 2017 by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, for his relentless service for several decades in the Sri Sathya Sai Medical Mission.

The Sathya Sai Center of South Bethesda has been organizing a program titled ‘SAMARPAN’ (an offering) since March 2019. The program provides us an opportunity to listen to the devotees who were blessed with Bhagawan’s association. It highlights reliving the moments with Bhagawan, reconnecting with Him, and soaking in the Divine presence.
